Koponen Homestead is considering donating 5.5 acres of land (Lot 27) to The Folk School, provided permission is granted by the FNSB.

The Folk School wants to be good neighbors and is having a listening session at the Koponen Fire Station at 6:30 pm Wed. June 21, 2017. Residents in the area are invited.

Update: The FNSB Planning Commission denied the conditional use permit after a handful of neighbors testified against it on the basis of perceived noise and traffic on Roland Road. Ironically, the Koponen family donated the right of way for Roland Road to be extended for Chena Hills to be developed, where most of those who objected reside.
